Civilization III Cheats
In versions of the game before “1.21f” if you save your game with the phrase “multi” in it cheat mode is enabled. For example the save file “Alexander, 2000 AD.SAV” would become “Alexander, 2000 AD multi.SAV.” You can see the entire map, change production for every player, etc. If you use version 1.21f or later this no longer works.
Scenario Cheat
Using the free editor “Civ3Edit” to change most aspects of the game like unit powers, game rules, terrain, governments, etc, allows you to change the game to suit your tastes. You can save your customized scenario as “joes-mod.bic” and than choose that file as a scenario from within Civilization 3. Do you think the Hoplite is too strong? Should Workers be able to move 2 squares? Change the entire game to your liking and play as normal.
